Love this breakdown. The 'vibe era of product' framing really clicks I’ve been guilty of confusing 'looks done' with 'is done.' Curious if you’ve found a good rule of thumb for when a prototype is worth hardening?
Thanks Gallardo, oh for sure we have all been there! UIs that look polished, loads of stuff ‘working’, but limited testing and real validation. For me - I’m building tooling using this flow which are exclusively for internal use cases even if my team would love to externalise them. Once those team members have been battering then and finding value and/or are asking to release to clients - that’s my personal trigger to harden them. They’re validated from my POV at that stage
I’m so stoked to see where these tools get to in the next 6-12-18 months too. They’re getting very good but often the last mile can be a challenge still but my bet is that changes…. And it may not need too much more then 6-12 months to see that impact
